Non-Alcoholic Mulled Wine

Winter a perfect time for a Non Alcoholic Mulled Wine!

Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of non-alcoholic red wine (750 ml)
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 3-4 cinnamon sticks
- 6-8 whole cloves
- 2-3 star anise
- 1 inch piece of fresh ginger, sliced
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup apple juice (optional for extra sweetness)
- 1/4 cup pomegranate juice (optional for extra depth of flavor)
- Fresh cranberries (for garnish, optional)
- Additional orange slices (for garnish, optional)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Ingredients:
- Slice the orange and lemon.
- Slice the fresh ginger.

2. Combine Ingredients:
- In a large pot, combine the non-alcoholic red wine, orange slices, lemon slices, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, star anise, and sliced ginger.

3. Add Sweeteners:
- Add the honey or maple syrup. Adjust the sweetness to taste.
- If using, add the apple juice and pomegranate juice.

4. Heat the Mixture:
- Place the pot on the stove over medium heat.
- Heat the mixture until it just starts to simmer, but do not let it boil. Boiling will reduce the flavors and may make the drink taste bitter.
- Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer gently for about 20-30 minutes. This allows the flavors to meld together.

5. Taste and Adjust:
- Taste the mulled wine and adjust the sweetness if necessary. You can add more honey or syrup if you prefer it sweeter.

6. Strain and Serve:
- Use a fine-mesh strainer to remove the spices, fruit slices, and ginger from the mulled wine.
- Pour the mulled wine into mugs.

7. Garnish and Enjoy:
- Garnish with fresh cranberries and additional orange slices if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy!

This non-alcoholic mulled wine is perfect for cozy winter evenings or festive gatherings. Enjoy!
